In teaching a client about the readability of certain font styles and how to identify which would best suit her project’s needs, I prepared the following sample sheet taken from fonts found in the Comic Life application I have at home (which I use with my son and for casual projects).
While noting the clarity, letter width, easy identification of letter shapes and punctuation considerations, and appropriateness to different art style types, I also wanted to ensure the creator understood that there is an inconsistency to sizing from font type to type. In other words, not all fonts stay the same size at 10 Pt. and require size adjustments dependent on which they are.
I hope it will help our editors in likewise developing a sense of font types and size considerations.
