Shaun Keenan Can I nominate XCT as it’s the #1 selling series in Australia having sold over 6500 issues and has also had executives at SDCC and Permian Basin Comic Con.
Bradley Golden I nominate Leave on the light. It’s a horror slasher series that brings back the old school slasher horror from the late 80s and 90s.
Don Nguyen I’d like to throw my hat into the ring with Pablo the Gorilla #1! It’s about a cyborg gorilla that delivers pizza and just wants to live an everyday day life. However, the government that created him wants their AWOL pet project back and something else sinister also hunts him down. https://www.pablothegorilla.com
Felipe Cagno It’s a supernatural post-apocalyptic western that features a Redhead as a Curse Chaser 🙂
Mauricia Malveaux The MusicMaker http://www.musicmakercomix.com/
It’s a sound based story with actual playable music within its pages
Luke Stone I nominate Hybrids: The Sons of Gods. A story about modern day Greek Gods/Nephilim attempting to stop a human trafficking ring.
Xing Xin Ximphonic Versus, a series that was rejected 149 times by every publisher minus Marvel and DC. Now it’s been acquired by Hollywood and is in Production as a TV series. Set for Worldwide release, and the comic book series breaks convention with art that beyond western standards.
Jeff Rider The Arcane Cocktail Enthusiast – the worlds first “spirit forward” cocktail comic book. Each issue not only has a great story, but a magical cocktail recipe to make at home. www.arcanecocktailenthusiast.com
Aron Pohara I am going to nominate Book of Lyaxia the series that puts mythologies from different mythologies together! And first preview of finished #3 cover with credits! It takes Mythology and turns it on its head. Mystery, Action, Fantasy with one of the most insane twists you will ever see in a comic book. Did you ever want to see characters from Egyptian, Greek, Norse Mythologies fight to be the ruler of the realm? But it’s told through eyes of two twin brothers that have to find out what destiny has in store for them.
Aaron Dowen I nominate “Tilt”, for taking the superhero genre in a different direction with a fresh play on old tropes.
Hal Laren Trojan Nova
The start of my new Sci-fi franchise
Jaden Axion learns that Trojan Command has deployed his life’s work, the Solar Capacitor, on his home system’s sun.
Jaden must find a way to save his homeworld… Trojan Nova::Created Hal LarenWritten by Hal Laren, Illustrated by Hal Laren
Martin Dunn Wrong Way: An American Punk Story
Austin Janowsky I liked to nominate Zombies we’re human too. A brand new take on the zombie genre
Art Tavarez I’d like to Nominate my series Nomads. It’s not just Scifi, it’s not another zombie book. Its a look a life after man has fallen that ISNT based off of mad max. Its a look a what would happen should man return to their tribal ancestry instead of clinging on to technology.
Jesse Baer I’d like to nominate Burlap for the Originality Award, it takes the slasher horror genre and flips it on its head where the slasher killer is actually the hero of the tale and his victims are the villains! It also blends many genres including noir, revenge, supernatural, dark comedy and horror!

“Wow. Bringing together creators from all over the U.S. Giving them a chance to shine their unique light. Connecting our titles into one united universe of stories. Giving everyone a voice to aid in our mutual success. As our tag line goes, “different views, one vision.” Along with giving our fans, the pricing and quality of product they’ve come to enjoy.“-Joe Spicer

not only did he Come back from a medical issue but delivered one of the most powerful comics Ever Written With Emmets Story from the Stabbity Bunny Line.
Garrett Gunn
“In 2019, I successfully published three books through independent publisher Source Point Press. Two of them, Franklin and Ghost Volume 3 and Warcorns: Combat Unicorns for Hire, were continuations of the series Franklin and Ghost that I’ve been writing since 2017. The other, Cold Dead Hands, is a new series that will continue through 2020 as a four-part miniseries distributed through Diamond Previews. I spent most of 2019 trying to push my properties into other mediums, successfully beginning production on a Franklin and Ghost television show starring Billy Bob Thornton, Sean Schemmel, Christopher Sabat, and Veronica Taylor. Deep Water Games also acquired the rights to a Franklin and Ghost board game that finished production in November of 2019. As a firm believer in the power of independent comics, I continue to try and advocate for my fellow creators and spread awareness of emerging properties.”- Garrett Gunn
Chuck Pineau
Has Touched so many Projects as an EDITOR it would be Ridiculous not to mention him. And he is a creator in his own right.-Rob &erSiN
“Chuck Pineau is in disbelief of his nomination, especially when compared to the others included. All he tried this year, has ever tried, is to better himself and those around him. Through his writing of books like Belial and Welcome to the Void , his work with the Advocator, and editing dozens of indie comic books, that’s all he’s ever tried. Even when trying to stretch himself he co-created Essence House, a serial audio drama that now airs bi-weekly.”-Chuck Pineau
Victor Dandridge Jr not only Released some Heavy Feels stories but what he has done with U Cre-8 Comics is changing comics by the roots and is rooting them into children’s education
.Indie Creator Award: Victor Dandridge
“For a guy who calls himself the Hardest Working Man in Comics, its ironic that I’m hesitant to pen a statement of HOW I’ve made Indie Comics more interesting or the impact I’ve left as a creator. But, with all due respect to even being nominated, I’ll say this: in 2019, I set out to make creating EASIER, not only for my fellow creators, but for the next generation creatives still in grade school. Through U Cre-8 Comics, my growing traditional art supply and classroom supplemental program (and the insanely generous donations of so many in the field), I was able to offer more than $20,000.00 worth of content to students in my local school district, at no cost. Aiming to reach approximately 3000 students (200 over 15 schools), this effort would encourage creativity and exploration of comics at the earliest age possible, teaching the value of intellectual property, entrepreneurship, storytelling, and visual communication.”
“As an impact…well, there were quite a few kids who may call the day we took over their school, one of their favorites. But I think we’re still a year or two away from seeing the full potential start to bloom. Perhaps in a year or two, when a couple of earnest 10 year old sets up at a local convention, rolling out their first few books, single-handedly reinvigorating readership in young kids. Because kids who make comics, read comics…and kids who read comics, can read ANYTHING.”- Victor Dandridge Jr

Bradley Golden
“In 2019, I have published 2 books, and written in one anthology through independent publisher Antarctic Press. Two of the books, Leave on the Light, and Horror Comics are three issue mini series that are intertwined in one coherent Horror Universe. Most of 2019 I have been trying to push the envelope in horror, in bringing back that old school horror slasher type stories we group up loving like Halloween, Friday the 13th, and Nightmare on Elm Street. I also spent 2019 getting my Horror titles optioned into future movies from Spirit Rider Production and Brian Vaughan. Which Leave on the Light is slated to be released end of 2020 to theatres. Horror Comics will be released 2021. I believe the impact I have left on the year is that if you believe in it hard enough, grind and hustle hard enough, you can accomplish anything. I’m building titles and a platform that new unknown talent could show their skills and interests to the comic world.”- Bradley Golden
