Champion Comics Presents : American Revere 01 of 4 (2018)!!
Miami police officer Sam Walker was a dedicated cop, family man to his wife Rebekah and his son Sylas, friend, and by the book enforcer of the law. Then during a not so by the book chase on foot after the man he suspects took the life of his own beloved wife, Walker is ambushed by the Dominion drug cartel, and assassinated. In haste, without waiting for back up, officer Walker walked into a trap, and his own death.
Until he awakens in a top secret military installation, in a hospital bed, with very few memories of his past, nothing more than flashes, but his will to enforce the law, and bring justice is intact. Manipulated by doctors and high ranking military officials, and including the President of the United States, Sam Walker agrees to become American Revere, the Great World Hope.
President Jackson is in the middle of a hotly contested election, one the polls say he is losing, and with the streets in chaos, and rebellion all across the nation, he pulls his ace card…and introduces American Revere as the beacon for order and justice. The protector of the American ideal, and regulator overseas. Soon the President realizes that his star soldier might not be the easily controlled as he was lead to believe.
Through early missions, the ups and downs of battles with members of the Spider Clan, including the mysterious and deadly assassin Lady Neutria, to scraps with the vampire cabal of the Bauhaus Vampire Nicholas Grich, to his near death experiences with Crooked Cross and Mortis, to bringing to justice Moleculon, Black Death, Hell Machine, and Trapdoor. His learning curve was steep, but at the end of his missions, he survived and conquered…until…
American Revere was shot! Taken down by a would be assassins bullet (for the second time!), Sam Walker, though badly injured, survives! While he fought for his re-life, his main backer, President Ulysses Jackson is defeated in the general elections by “persuader” candidate Stone Shepherd, and his nefarious advisor, Dr Orin Massri, known in whispered circles as the diabolical Necromage. The Necromage conjures a demon, sets forth to manipulate the American people in voting Shepherd into office, and their plans for world domination begins…while the official commission of American Revere is immediate DECOMMISSION. American Revere and all SUPRAS are decommissioned and the use of power outlawed! Sam Walker is court marshaled, and sent to a super max prison in the Everlades.**

We got Supra Service agents, the Lawless, Lady Neutria, and the first appearances of Agent Aja Marley, Freddie Cain, and a host of heroes! All this adds up to a dynamic, fun, and frenetic comic book story of death, resurrection, revival, and redemption. It’s the fascinating story of the Great World Hope, and the responsibility of power, and the inevitable erosion of the soul of those who stand in power.
