Hey comic creators who have printed with KrakenPrint AND still have inventory at the warehouse:

I received a phone call from the warehouse yesterday saying that Kraken has not paid their invoices since at least June this year, and CEO Jacob Way has not responded to any of their e-mails requesting payment. Because of this, the warehouse has put a lien on all of the inventory currently in their stock. Unless you reach out to the warehouse this week (and pay your portion of Kraken’s bill), they are going to put the inventory up for auction. See below for the warehouse contact info.

No one from Kraken reached out to inform me of this issue – this was a courtesy call from the warehouse (and also an effort from them to recoup outstanding costs from Kraken, I’m sure). The warehouse informed me they made this call knowing this inventory didn’t belong to the printer, but was instead the property of the individual creators.

They also told me over 60+ creators currently have inventory in their warehouse under Kraken’s contract, and I am not sure if they have reached out to all of them.

If you have inventory at the warehouse with Kraken Print or know someone who does, please reach out ASAP this week to make sure they do not liquidate your books.
