What is your proudest creation? My 3 daughters
What Indie comic book Title are you currently a huge fan of?Paper Girls
What has been your favorite project to work on and why?UnDead End, because with it being produced entirely by myself, I can realize exactly what I envision on the page. I can also take chances and experiment with my work.
Is sexuality focused on too much in comic books?Probably, I don’t really know. Sometimes it fits the story, others, not. I’m okay with it, but lately it seems to be a shoehorned topic or theme, pushed into books and stories that it probably has no place being in. On the flip side, I also feel there is an over-sensitivity about it in certain groups, especially when discussed online.
Do you think fan art is law breaking or is it simply what the fans want?
It is absolutely not “law breaking”. Any person can create their interpretation of something, the trouble comes when they begin to mass produce and distribute copyrighted material or characters for profit. If I am hired to produce a drawing of Wolverine for a fan, that is legal. If I started producing my own Wolverine comics and selling them, that is not.
If you won the lottery and could buy an character you hat just to kill them who would it be and why?X-23
What is a mistake you made in your early years that our readers can learn form ?Draw the hard stuff. Like, a lot. Make it fun for yourself somehow, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes.
Well done J Wright you have a single paragraph to tell us why we should become fans and what you are working on now :
“I feel that people should check out my work and follow me because at this moment, I am in a place where I am constantly improving. Every new piece feels like an improvement on the last, and that might be a cool thing to witness. I’m also super appreciative of people who support me, and love interacting and speaking with them. Even just simple messages I receive online are so very much appreciated. I work at home alone, so when someone takes the time to tell me they enjoy what I’m doing, and we can exchange a few messages, it’s amazing. And it motivates and drives me to continue what I’m doing. ” – J Wright
