Anime, Games, Movies, Indie Comics, Cosplay Contest!!! You see it all at KamiCon! KamiCon located in Birmingham, Alabama at the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center was held this past weekend January 26-28, 2018. I had a fabulous time while there. There were many activities and many awesome cosplays in attendance this year. All the guests and the staff were exceptionally helpful and professional. While this convention is known for its heavy genre of Anime, you didn’t have to look long for other cosplays such as Titanfall, Star Wars, Halo, Harley Quinn and much more.
The 501st, which is a Star Wars costuming group had a promotional table set up as well the 405th Halo Costuming Group. There was a cosplay contest where at least 100 participants were judged on their cosplays. While in line for the contest I saw so many beautifully fabricated costumes. There was everything from the animated series Harley Quinn to the simple yet beautiful princesses. Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Princess Daisy and Elsa even made an appearance. My review for KamiCon 2018 is a definite 10/10!! Artist Alley and the Vendor Hall were full of cosplayers looking for that one special item to complete their collection. I noticed a lot of bags coming out of the dealer’sroom along with lots of smiling faces! KamiCon definitely has a vast array of genres and I look forward to attending next year as well.
