Why are Aspen comics a step above the rest?
Aspen’s greatest power is the love of the work, the fans and the business that they have all the way from the owners to the editors to the talent. All the way across the board.
What Indie Title are you currently a huge fan of?
Anything by Matt Wagner, I have picked up a few new books recently but have yet to get time to check them out. Ask again later…
What is your next big project for aspen comics?

Will women being draw out of proportions ever go away or should this art form be let alone as it is clearly fantasy and popular among fans?
I think honestly everyone is drawn out of proportion. It’s fantasy. People will always objectify, it’s in our nature. We are visual creatures. That is the whole reason art exists. I do think there is more of a balance now than there has been in the past and I’m glad to see it.
What is the worst thing said to you at you booth at a con and how did you handle it?
After answering the question “are you the artist?” I got the response “Oh, you’re just the writer, is the artist here?” I just shrugged it off, pointed their way to the artist and figured he was either a writer looking for an artist for his work or looking to have something drawn.
What is your dream gig?
There are many, but the one that encompasses the most is a shot at one of the biggest titles of the big two. I’m a huge fan and supporter of Indie work, believe me but to have my name on Batman, Daredevil, Superman, Green Lantern, Spiderman… that would allow me to in my mind take a deep breath and say ” I did it. Top of the world.”
What is a mistake you made in your early years that our readers can learn form ?
Remember that in all likelihood, editors don’t care about what you want, not at first. When you’re the new guy pushing in, you are a bother. When you begin, realize that what the editors are interested in is what you can do for them. Show them your ability and your reliability. Trust your boss until your boss trusts you.
