I created CatDad so my Son JAXX would stop ripping up books and respect them. I knew this was so important because of his Autism, I wanted to open the world to him and come out of his autistic fog.
When people, including teachers ask me how did I get him from non verbal to a child wanting to go to mars who is funny kind and thoughtful I say; hard work on his part, patience, supporting him, lots of talking, working with all his teachers and therapists and comics.
He watch the process of making the comic, he saw it come to life and from that day on when he first held his comic after watch it being printed at a printer, never ripped up a book again. The only time books have damaged now because he over reads them. Yeah that’s right he reads now.
