Hi peeps, welcome to the first email to the Geek-Girl ‘Hot List.’ If you’re on this list, it means you’re one of Geek-Girl’s biggest fans, and some of the stuff I’m gonna be sending your way is going to be here before it’s anywhere else – and there’ll also sometimes be Special Offers here – some of which won’t be available anywhere else ever!
Thanks for joining! This is going to be the first email of three coming out each Monday as we build towards the Geek-Girl Kickstarter Launch, and in this one, I’m gonna bring you up to speed on crazy-alt.-girl Nina Dante!:
Nina likes to go ‘one better’ than the rest of her alt. crowd’s tattoos and piercings, and when we she was introduced in issue #2 of the first Geek-Girl Mini-Series, it was the above cybernetic eye that was her new thing.
In that issue, she got the hots for/got into a violent ‘play-fight’ with Geek-Girl – and got her ass kicked!
With Ruby Kaye’s super-tech glasses having initially rendered her super-klutzy (Ruby not being used to the super-strength they’d given her), she kind of made a fool of herself when trying to demonstrate her newfound powers to her too-cool-for-school clique – and wasn’t feeling too confident or sexy as ‘Geek-Girl’… But between her BFF Summer James talking her up and her interaction with Nina, that turned around and Ruby started to get a handle on things.
Now:
This is where we’re at in the new Mini-Series – and this is where things are going to take a darker turn for Nina, in the new Geek-Girl #3 out Sept 26 – which will also be available, with all of the current Geek-Girl Mini-Series (and more!), in the Kickstarter launching Oct 1st.
More on that next Monday!
