I’ll have a table at COMIC-KAZI’s new location here in Calgary for Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) on Saturday, May 6th, where I’ll have extensive samples of comic book editing and teaching I’ve done along with some “You Be The Editor” tests for those who want to try their hand at the skills of comic editing. It’s a lot harder than you think!I’ll also be available to share my extensive knowledge on the inner workings of the comic industry, what considerations go into marketing comics and graphic novels, what factors go into strong covers and logos, and much more. Ask me anything and you’re sure to get more than you bargained for.Finally, for those who’d like to bring their portfolios to the store, I’ll be giving reviews and professional feedback that will help you understand what publishers look for in a submission.I’ll be on hand from 11 a.m. to roughly 3 p.m., with a possibility of staying longer if there’s interest.You can find Comic-Kazi at 6105 Centre Street South, right across the tracks behind the Chinook C-Train station.
