About this project

The 4th Monkey is a comic book anthology featuring stories to raise awareness about environmental and social issues. Brought to life by 20+ comic book creators, each team will be creating a story about something that is near and dear to their hearts… or just something that’s been bothering them. The 100 page book will feature 8 short stories revolving around the following topics: Online Bullying. Poaching. Political Polarization. Mental Abuse. Ocean Pollution. Pesticides. Alcoholism. Suicide.

There are A LOT of problems in the world, and we can’t possibly tackle them all. The 4th Monkey is our attempt to do something about the ones pulled right out of the hearts of the contributing creators. Sure, you may feel stronger about some than you do others, but the quickest way to someone’s heart is through story. So, if you finish this book with even the slightest thirst for more knowledge, or were simply entertained, then I like to think that we did our job.

I am WS the resident Reaper of WrittenSiNs and I  will be asking these of all the Kickstarter Creators who Kickstarter we cover  The following Questions ( With occasional curve balls thrown in )

Rob Andersin said he Wants to Thank James Eric Hodson for his amamzing art bring his story to life. He wanted that mentioned before he The the Interview begins.

WS:: What is your Goal and Why That Goal amount?

While I cannot speak Directly to the Goal itself being placed where it is, as I am not running this Kickstarter the amount of  $7,500 goal seems about right for a project this size. You have to remember the sheer manpower put into this is amazing. If anything it’s underpriced.

WS:: Why is this project important to you?

My Story for this anthology is about FREEDOM OF SPEECH and online Bullying. At this point, anyone who goes online has been bullied. Just imagine that, abuse in our world has become that rampant that we are all now affected by it.  It’s heartbreaking and I wanted to show people that online is REAL.  It’s not a video game and you cannot act any way you want because your words can and will do harm to others.

WS:: Why go through Kickstarter?

I think a project like this is perfect for Kickstarter, it’s about topics that often publisher won’t touch but should be explored.

WS:: What makes your Kickstarter Stand Out?

I Think because this isn’t my Kickstarter, but rather it’s ours.  We have what is a DREAM TEAM of Indie Creators talking about topics that are important and demand to be told. And with the Creators Involved, it will be done in a way that will entertain while it educates and inspires the readers to change how they view the world.

WS:: Will this be an ongoing series?

That Question is above my Pay Grade.

WS: How are important are you Stretch Goals?

The Rewards in this project are so stellar. With that in mind just imagine what have

Daniel Farrand and   James E. Roche

have in store for us if we start hitting those stretch goals.

WS: If you saw this project, pretending it wasn’t yours, what would you think of it and how you would react to it, and Why?

The cool this about this project is I haven’t seen all the other stories in full. Like the audience, I have only seen pages s a preview.  Even my own stories art I haven’t seen completed yet.  So I can say in all honesty I am excited to see what these amazing creators have in store for me to see. As a Fan of indie comics this is a project I would back and happly promote even if I werent part of it.

WS Bonus Questions: Give em the Pitch Creator

Social Consequences is a look at who we are as a global community now, and how social media is showing the dark side of humanity. And it explores the effect legally of our behavior online could wind up having.  In fact when I wrote this I never expected to see it come true so Quickly.  I got to watch a trail come to life and a conviction given on a real-life event that read like my story.  Clearly, I have found a topic that is going to explore in great length over the coming years. The Story Exposes the reality of who we have become and I hope shows that when we type we can in fact effect other lives, whether we meant to or not in  horrible ways
