The7Deadly Questions
are ready to got to war with Tony Wright!!!!!
Why tell a story about War, hasn’t that been done to death by the history channel?
I’m sure there are people out there with the opinion that the History Channel has examined World War II and Vietnam to the point of ad nauseam. Day 165 does examine war but it adds science fiction and supernatural themes which sets it apart from typical war stories. This series just examines one day in the life of a soldier, their 165th day of service to be exact, and I plan on having future issues set during moments of wartime which are not always examined by the History Channel.
What Indie Title are you currently a huge fan of?
I’ve enjoyed the webcomics of people like Matthew Bogart and Ben Chamberlain. Matthew is the artist and writer of The Chairs Hiatus and Oh, It’s the End of the World. Ben is the artist and writer for Supermassive Black Hole A*.
Aside from and ongoing comic book series what other goals do you have for your project?
I want to be a published author and work for a company that supports creator owned comics. That’s why I joined Source Point Press.
How Sexual are the characters of day 165 despite being in the middle of a war?
Characters in Day 165 experience the same urges, emotions, and feelings as a normal human being.
Do wars solve problem or create more?
This is an answer that seems obvious, but too many people avoid the truth. Wars do at times solve “problems”, but they do create a multitude of problems in the aftermath. I teach American History at a community college part-time and I can tell you that humanity never learns.
If you could do a cross over with Another comic book series ever created who would it be and why them?
I’d have The Dude from The Big Lebowski go into the Star Wars universe and I’d have Cormac McCarthy develop the script because he’s my favorite writer.
What is a mistake you made in your early years that our readers can learn form?
Avoid confronting trolls who have nothing constructive to say about your work. Also, have a well-organized synopsis for developing your story.
Well done you have a single paragraph to tell us why we should become fans and what you are working on now :
“I like to let my work speak for itself and it’s up to the reader if they are a fan or not a fan. You can go to Champion City Comics and read my work, which is accessible by clicking this link. I’m currently working on a second script for Day 165 and am working on a new adventure for The Red Devil, a webcomic series that’s going to become a graphic novel one day. I have a few more projects in development but they are in the early stages because I’m working with artists who have very busy schedules.”–Tony Wright
