FAVORITE COMIC BOOK:
Growing up:
In a time when cartoons only came on Saturday Mornings, a love of Scooby-Doo, the Justice League, Flintstones, Thundar the Barbarian and so many greats lead to my mother buying me a giant size Marvel coloring comicbook of Spider-Man vs Electro. I wanted to do more than just color it…I wanted to make my own stories! She always told me I’ve been drawing ever since I could pick up a pencil.
and now:
Definitely still rereading the works done in the 90’s in DC, Marvel and Image when i can. Those stories just took you somewhere and you always wanted to see what happened next and how they made it out.
The 1 Superpower you want:
Time teleportation, there is never enough time and when you see where you are and where you’re heading why not go back and tell yourself “hey stop wasting time”!
Location:
Born and raised in Michigan but was asked a very good question while in California and started answering it in Houston, Tx

The7Deadly Questions
are gonna Rock this interview like its 1999′
People are looking for something more in stories …reboots have grown beyond tiresome because fans want more, they know where the story can go and want to read and see that. To step away from the daily norm and events. See the depth and adventure of characters old and new, smile, laugh, feel the pain, hurt and joy of the story and it has to go beyond a great cover, splash page and pages of head shots if it’s to go anywhere. With Bleu Willow that is just part of the focus that goes into it. When writing and drawing the panels it plays like a movie in my head as I try to see things through the characters eyes the situations they face and the reactions to them. All while working out how they solve them or get through. I’ve been told it has the feel of watching a still frame anime in comic book form and then some ask the question… is there more? When I hear that it let’s me know it’s going in the right direction.
I’ve actually asked myself this same question when looking at so many great Indie titles out there because Bleu Willow is a mythical adventure in Magic which doesn’t fall under Superheros/heroine’s, Aliens, Zombies and so many others and I had to wonder will this fit?Is there a place for it? So I tested it with my other series Dark Side and found an answer, so you’ll definitely see a cross over there and I continue to view other Indie titles to see what may be similar for other possibilities.
Most want to see their work(s) do as well as the big 2 reaching audiences, television, movies, toys, traveling etc., and that hopefully could lead to doing what they love doing full time…being creative. I mean, who wouldn’t love that? But you have to remember why you’re doing comics in the first place. With Bleu Willow number 1 has to be create good stories and take people some where they enjoy going. 2. Develop your fan base and audience because there is a difference and 3. Inspire others to keep pushing towards their goals. You never know what your story does for another! Remember Saturday Cartoons …a comic coloring book? Believe the rest will fall into place.
Distress, fear, trials, challenges and more..yes! But a damsel waiting for prince charming to save her? Nahhh…in creating female leads I want to show the who, what, why, when, where and all of the in between as they face each moment, villian and further develop into the guardians they become. When you look at the work of greats like Hayao Miyazaki and his films “Spirited Away” and “Howl’s moving castle” or Hiroaki Kitakubo’s film Blood the last vampire (anime) and more creations in the rise from other Artist and Writers there is so much more to creating female leads that goes beyond just someone that always needs to be rescued.
Heh, heh! I think this will be the question fans would say pulls you into the world of Bleu Willow. …the “why”, because each character in the series has a story that leads up to the Witch Kings motive. All I can say for now is get ready!
If you where offered 10 millions dollars to sell and Walk away from Bleu Willow entirely, do you believe you could make something else just as good with that 10 million, maybe even dare we say better? ?
Absolutely, because of the history that it comes from and the projects that came before and lead to it. You should always push your current level don’t become stagnant and think you could never do better! Now would I have reservations about selling it yes, because this was an idea inspired from my wife and children so I would have to definitely have a conversation with her! Bleu Willow is part of a history of projects in many ways like a family tree that are in the works now that are absolutely wonderful and I can’t wait to bring out.
Yes, bring it out sooner! I recently did a test reading with a number of people for issue one and had the opportunity to see others reactions to the intro. There was nothing like seeing others actually enjoy it and seeing it’s direction! When you think about it those first issues, those favorites in your collection in my opinion your looking at the first moments of an idea now in reality that are looking back at you to take that step. You could always redo it, show different perspectives of the story and more but for a fan there’s nothing like that first completed issue and how you felt reading it. Whether in print or digital it shows where you began.
Well done you have a paragraph to tell us why we what you are working on now and what cons we can find you at :
