Throw BACK THREAD:: The Meaning of Santa Claus taught to Jaxx with the help of some amazing Bikers .

Written By Rob Andersin

Early this morning around 1 am a rambunctious Jaxx  found himself unable to sleep and staring at the Christmas Tree from our bed.  I told him soon the Day would be here and there was a lot for to learn about Christmas. Being just about 2 this was his 1st real Christmas that he could be able to begin to understand. I told him   On Christmas day presents will be here for him to  open and enjoy.  Some will say Santa Claus brought them to you but I’ll tell you the truth,  like I always promise I always will.

You see Jaxx, Santa Claus is a spirit of giving and not necessarily a single  person. It all began With a Saint named Nick,  who went out of his way to make sure children had toys on the pagan celebration of the Winter Solicits. This saint went around and gave toys and gifts to those who’s family were struggling.

Over the years the idea of gift giving grew and so do the lesson of Saint Nick to make sure all children got on a gift during the winter Solicits and What would become know as Christmas Day, a time to celebrate with friends and family. This Spirit based on Saint Nick would  become a character  with a big tummy and rosey cheeks  that people would play and Dress up as.  Not to fool kids into being good but to make every child had hope that if they where a good boy or girl Santa Claus would make sure they would get a gift no matter what.

I told Jaxx that sometimes in life families struggle. And that if he know someone who is struggling it dosent make them anything but someone who could use his help.  And during the holiday when someone might need help he could play Santa by giving away a toy he might not need or asking Daddy to help him get a toy for a child in need.  I told Jaxx if anyone tells you Santa isn’t  real they are lying to you. Santa is a Spirit  every person can allow inside of  them selves  to bring joy and hope to the world. Its not just about the toys I explained to Jaxx it was about being able to give hope to all at least  once a year no matter how much or little they have.  Its the ability to also make someones life happier even for just one day.

So Jaxx I said when you see people dressed up as Santa that because they are in  that  moment Santa, and they are able to bring hope and joy to others. With out knowing about it  and as a simple gift from life today a Motorcycle Club came right in front of our Home to deliver gifts to a child who might not have gotten on other wise. I took Jaxx out and we thanked the people for their time and energy  and for being Santa for a family that need him. Jaxx got to see the Magic of Santa come to life right in front of our home.

Now Jaxx might not remember word for word the story I told.  And he may not even remember meeting all the great and wonderful riders that played Santa today.  But I believe in his heart today the idea of who Santa really is was born today. I choose to believe he will grow to be a man who helps keep the true meaning of Santa alive for Decades to come and one day pass it on to his children.

All of us at the Written Sins Network would like to  not only thank the Cape Coral FL. Motorcycle Club that were Santa today  for 5 families  in my area but to all the riders across the world who deliver gifts every year.  As well all of you out there that allow the Spirit of Santa into your hearts and allow yourself to assume the role  of Santa as you donate and give to kids and programs like Toys for Tot and all the other great national and local programs that bring smiles to kids faces on Christmas. We leave you with the message that giving is more rewarding than receiving  and hope if you are able to give  that you do and help us all  continue on the Spirit of Saint Nick.
