The PREACHER of Comics vs the Little Girl
There once was a small community that banded together over the love of comics and creation. This common Joy of fandom created a home for many, a home where they fit in and felt like they were part of something grand. For a long time, forgetting a few rare moments of slight bickering over which hero was the best, the community got along and supported each other with open hearts and minds. It was a Comic-topia where all lived together in harmony and enjoyment of comics.
In this community, children were born into a supportive and nurturing world where being different was celebrated not used against a person for not following along. One of those children was a little girl named Hope. Hope grew up watching worlds of creation come to life, filling the pages of comics and the minds of their readers. It was a place of Joy and Wonder, and such a great place to grow up.
Then one day a Preacher man came to the community. At 1st he came with big smiles and promises of good intentions. He spoke of endless possibilities of comics, his love for them, his desire to help fellow creators, and swore his faith made him a good man. He touted that his comics were a throwback to good and moral storytelling. He was accepted as most were and given the opportunity to be part of the community.
But as the seasons changed so did the mood of the community. The Preacher began to use his fake smiles to spread lies and took the time to divide people into groups. He used manipulation to turn people against each other. He brought anger to a place that was once so happy.
He brought more like-minded people into the community and made declarations that his way is the holy way and all other ways are for the DEVIL’s work.
Hope being a little girl had never seen a person do the things this Preacher was dining, to be honest, no one was used to his behavior. She witnessed how he was able to spread hate with lying words and destroyed the once peaceful vibe the community had built.
The Preacher’s fake smile released words from his mouth he would never live by but expected all others to follow. As he made divides he made sure to make villains out of the good who would not bow to him and convinced the weak-minded to fall in line against them.
Within less than a year Hope saw the community be torn apart by anger, jealousy and greeds rise. Hope thought to herself “How can I be one of the few to see The Preacher for the man he really is? Hope knew something needed to be done to save the community before it was too late, it would be up to this brave little girl to save her community.
Hope would sneak into the private serum of The Preacher. She saw all the once happy members of the community look as if in a trance and listen to his lies and agree with the hateful ideas of those different from him. He spoke about his own comics as if they were the cure to all humanity’s problems while condemning comic books he had never read, condemning them for things that weren’t even in the books nor part of the creator’s intentions. He stood tall as he told his lies and never missed a moment to make himself out to be a victim of anyone who opposed him. He always justified his action with his faith as if whispered from above as the reason to trust him.
Hope managed to find her way onto the stage and walked right up to the Preacher and yelled STOP BEING A BULLY.
STOP LYING and STOP SPREADING HATE.
She looked toward the stunned crowd now for the first time in a long time seemingly thinking for themselves and explained how The preacher had been the source of the newfound hate in their community. .Hope stood as tall as she could to remind the group of what they had allowed him to take. Remind them that words like Diversity aren’t bad and that people being different was welcome in this shared home they had all created. She reminded them all that the preacher defends violent acts so long as his views were the reason for conflict. She pleaded with them to see it was him that turned members against each other and made people mad at each other with lies and misinformation.
The crowd looked around and as if glass had been broken in front of all their eyes.
They all started to yell out questions and relations. Within minutes The preacher ran away. The room began sorting out all the preachers’ lies and began to realize that they had all succumbed to the evil intentions of a small-minded, small-hearted preacher.
Hope quieted the room and said, “We can never let a Villain with a smile divide us again. We are better when we work together and treat all people with respect. Our home can never be a place where Violence is preached and we must openly accept the differences of all the members of this community that is our home. Our home must be a place where all views are allowed. We are better when we stick to creating and reading comics and stop letting people use anger to divide us and allow hate to breed in our hearts. We need to stand against all preachers Like JUDAS ROCK who come to darken our door, and make sure we never pay them any mind ever again.”
Despite being a little Girl her words ran pure and with undeniable truth. Hope had lived up to her name and given hope back to the community by reminding them to accept differences and embrace common ground, for even at a young age she realized when people work together beautiful things can be created, and her community was proof of that. The comics, Hope was exposed to helped to open her mind and heart so much that she was able to save her community and inspire generations to come.
