For us we have hit a point where we face what most of you will or do face on a daily bases that being getting noticed.
We do interviews every week day. And we get site activity daily, the issue we face is getting today Fans of the Creator interviewed to stick round for tomorrows interview. In other words adding people to our fan base so in turn they can become fans of tomorrows creators interviewee. 3 thing we see as working right now:
1 Mailing lists: They work but from our research has shown its probably only 25 percent success rate. This come down to when they reader get the email and if they have time to react. Most people will either visit it when they see the email. If they see it and don’t have time its gets forgotten. Still 25 percent of 1000 would be 250 hits not bad and worth the effort if you rely on ad revenue but that a topic for another day
2 Sharing on Social media highly Effective but tricky. Facebook will make your life hard if you actual share on social media and than people who are i the same group as you will complain you are spaming. I know you arent you sharing it with different group and yes that makes sense. Thats the point. I say do it. THAT’S THE POINT OF SOCIAL MEDIA just follow the Rule of only sharing something once. SO make every share original in nature. repackage it add info new art dont share the shame shit more than 1 time per place
3 A great idea we love is a Facebook PAGE. You can preset it so anything you post on you site goes to Facebook ( Our site also allow Twitter and 9 other choices like pintrest. ) This if you market right and have auto publish means you can do 5 things in on sitting but instead of publishing all at once and making a noise issue you can have them come out over the right amount of time. A page makes it easy to share as well.
These 3 our what we find works really well as always if you have a better Free way let us know. On a side note that funny Facebook get mad at you for over sharing but will offer to over hare your post for you if you pay them. Got to love capitalism
