Victor Dandridge Jr is with Harold Edge.
So, while lettering the first issue of #NeverTooLate (seriously, you guys are in for a treat — Harold is KILLING IT), I realized something interesting: The Trouble w/Love is self-contained, packing in an engrossing (if I do say so myself) tale of love, family and redemption in a meager 27 Pages. For its sequel, I’m giving the story some room to breathe, with a total page count of 96. The first issue is only 3 shy from its originators (clocking in at 24)…but, with ONLY a whopping 11 pages carry ANY dialogue, captions or verse.
Comics ARE a visual narrative medium, and sometimes the emotional impact HAS to be shown rather than explained. I’m extremely lucky to have as talented of a collaborator as Harold on this one, because he truly understands the nuance of storytelling, pacing and mood.
Consider this a letter of recommendation — if you’ve got a story that you need the very best to be tapped, you NEED to have his name on your list.
